 Product Licensing And License Permissions


The following applies to our products that can be used on server machines (e.g. in web applications) as well as in stand-alone applications (executables), such as Raw Data Printer, ASP Printer COM, Advanced PDF Printer, etc. 

1. The "Site License" option enables you to install and use the component on an unlimited number of machines within your company, for development purposes. In addition, you can install and use the component on a single Internet or Intranet server (as a component runtime) for production printing on the server. Moreover, it enables you to freely redistribute the component runtime through the MS Internet Explorer automatic download and installation feature (using the Internet Distribution Package of the product), to print on the client machines.

2. The "Server License" option enables you to install and use the component on a single Internet or Intranet server (as a component runtime) for production printing on the server. In addition, it enables you to freely redistribute the component runtime through the MS Internet Explorer automatic download and installation feature (using the Internet Distribution Package of the product), to print on the client machines. The Server License includes a FREE Single-Developer License.

3. The "Unlimited Servers License" option enables you to install and use the component on an unlimited number of machines within your company, for development purposes. In addition, you can install and use the component on an unlimited number of Internet or Intranet servers (as a component runtime) for production printing on the server. Moreover, it enables you to freely redistribute the component runtime through the MS Internet Explorer automatic download and installation feature (using the Internet Distribution Package of the product), to print on the client machines. The Unlimited-Servers License includes a Single-Developer License.

All other licensing options enable you to install and use the product for development purposes, by the indicated number of developers (or machines), and also to freely redistribute the component runtime with your executable applications (with EXE applications only). These license options do not grant you the permission to install or use the component on server machines (either Intranet or Internet) and do not grant you the permission to use the Internet Distribution Package of the product.
Please note that if your stand-alone (executable) application does connect to a server machine (e.g. Internet or Intranet server, SQL Server, database server, etc.) to retrieve some or all of the data to be printed, you will need to obtain a Site License of the product.

Notes
1. If you are in doubt of which license option is appropriate for your case, please contact us.
2. The digitally-signed version of the products (Advanced PDF Printer, Raw Data Printer, and ASP Printer COM) comes ONLY with the Server License, Site License and Unlimited-Servers License of the product. You will also receive a Root Certificate CA that should be installed on the client through the client's web browser. The certificate installation is quite simple and is almost fully-automatic and is accomplished by just invoking the certificate URL in the page load event on the client. This will automatically grab the certificate from the server and will automatically start the IE certificate installation wizard.
